Aliens? Or Something Else? (Conclusion)

Humanity’s battle for knowledge and discernment apart from God began with Adam and Eve.

The Command

After God created man, He placed them in the garden. He spoke to Adam, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden — except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” (Genesis 2:15–17)

The Act of Disobedience

The serpent approached Eve one day and asked, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

Eve answered, “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden. It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. (Genesis 3:1–6)

Why would God even place such a tree in the garden if it was forbidden to them? The tree was placed there as a test — of their love and reverence for Him.

They chose the tree over Him.

The Ancient Adversary

Who was this serpent? Where did it come from? And why did it want to cause them to be cut off from the garden, from their Creator?

The serpent has been identified as Satan and devil (2 Corinthians 11:3), as well as an ancient adversary (Revelation 12:9 & Revelation 20:2).

This ancient adversary is described in Isaiah 14 as the “Morning Star,” a name that was linked to a high-ranking angel named Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:14–16 spoke of Lucifer as a guardian cherub who was perfect in beauty and wisdom but became corrupt through pride. And it was this pride that led him to say, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God” (Isaiah 14:12–15).

His pride was reinforced after learning of God’s plans regarding humanity — creating man in His image with the role of angels to not only obey and worship God but be also subject to mankind as “ministering spirits.” (Hebrews 1:14)

Lucifer refused to serve in these manners, rejecting God’s rightful place as Creator and Authority. With him, a third of angels broke away.

In their desire to usurp God’s authority, they sought to corrupt the design of His creation with the soul of man as the primary prize.

What do these have to do with aliens and deception?

The Bible provided numerous examples of angels being able to change their form at will taking on human, symbolic, or awe-inspiring forms, depending on the context and the message they carry. So, it’s not a far reach to consider they could also take on alien-like forms.

To put it bluntly, if we are currently being primed to believe in extraterrestrials, then these fallen angels who are presenting themselves as “advanced alien beings” would be a highly effective deception strategy.

By taking on alien‑like forms, the purpose would be strategic, theological, and deeply intentional: to rewrite origins, replace Scripture, prepare a false savior narrative, unify the world under deception, explain away divine events, and ultimately receive worship.

People who reject God are far more vulnerable to deception, especially deception that appeals to their pride, curiosity, or a desire for alternative explanations of reality. Scripture teaches that truth is spiritually discerned, and when someone refuses God, they lose the very anchor that protects them from counterfeit truth.

So, if fallen angels presented themselves as aliens, the people most likely to believe it would be those who have already rejected the truth God provides.

I’m not saying that the fallen angels are definitively behind all the alien and UFO reporting, only God knows that. Since we are living in an age where more people, including many in the church, are turning from Scripture and from God, deception has risen sharply.

I believe Jesus spoke about this age in Matthew 24:

“Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many… For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.” (Matthew 24:4,24)

I think possibly what Steven Spielberg might be alluding in that his film could cause some to lose their faith was that these aliens might claim to be the ones who seeded this planet, not God. It is reasonable to think that those who have rejected God might actually believe this to be true.

I could have easily been one of them if God had not intervened in my life with the heart attack.

Whether you believe all the recent news and such about aliens and UFOS or not, just remember, examine all things through the lens of Scripture and not of the world, so you won’t be deceived. Only by walking in the Spirit will you remain in the Truth and refuse the lie.
