Christianity: True Gospel or the Great Deception?

Is Christianity the true Gospel or the great deception?

There is no one answer for this, unfortunately, Christianity is divided within itself — meaning there is little unity in its message to mankind.

Copilot/Designer

In a recent article, I wrote about the different types of Christians I see in today’s society: Four Types of Christians. This is barely scratching the surface though as under each type, there are a multitude of denominations and doctrinal beliefs.

Which type of Christianity (if any) carries the true Gospel message?

The word “Christian” means follower of Christ — but there are some who don’t believe Jesus was even God.

Then there’s the Gospel message itself where many can’t agree to what this message really is about. You have one faction believing in a universal salvation that’s inclusive to everyone while another faction believes in a more exclusive salvation where only a few can go to Heaven. Then you have another faction who believes that good works alone will get you into heaven.

Many doubt the Bible’s authority and its authenticity, and others consider it riddled with errors and discrepancies.

All these issues will lead many to be deceived by false gospels and miss God’s grace altogether.

It seems that the word “Christianity” has lost its quality as the salt of the earth. It has been diluted down with the carnal ways of the world — its saltiness is gone and is now useless.

Jesus said to His disciples, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people.” — Matthew 5:13

Our main purpose as the salt of the earth is to preserve the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It seems we have lost sight of this purpose (or even abandoned it) and thus Christianity has been rendered worthless in the eyes of the world that is now trampling over us.

Christianity has become nothing more than a battleground of disagreements and bickering, full of confusing messages, and an ineffective instrument for God.

Instead of guiding people toward hope, we are pushing them away. With no clear and unified message, we are no better than the deceiver who leads people astray.
