Satisfied With Your Life?

Am I satisfied?

Satisfaction is such a fickle thing – an emotion or a state of mind that can change on a dime.  It changes with your circumstances, which means it’s a temporary thing.

I’d spent much of my life trying to find the kind of satisfaction that lasts – the kind that fulfills me – but there is no such thing in this world. I’ve learned that true and lasting satisfaction comes only in Jesus Christ.

For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. – Psalm 107:9

I’ve learned that there is nothing in this world that will give me the lasting satisfaction and fulfillment that I long for.  It wasn’t until recently I discovered that this only comes through a personal and intimate relationship with Him. He is the only one who can give what my heart and soul long for.

Are you too searching for something to give you a permanent sense of satisfaction?  Don’t look to the people and things of the world but turn to Jesus Christ. He alone can satisfy that yearning deep within you.

  1. I agree, the problem with seeking satisfaction in our circumstances is that they can so quickly change. But if we look to find satisfaction in God we are seeking it somewhere that is secure and reliable. Visiting from FMF.
