A New Spiritual Revolution on the Horizon? The Rise of Cultural “Christianity”

There is a movement growing where non-believers and atheists are declaring they’re “cultural Christians.” What is this and why is this happening?

Cultural Christians appreciate and prefer a society based on Christian values.

In a society that’s skewed due to damaging relative truths and an increasing lack of morality, cultural Christians are viewing Christian principles as the path to true freedom and stability.

The cultural Christians see the tenets of Christianity as the solution to the growing degradation of today’s society where depression, mental health issues, and suicides are skyrocketing.

To them, Christianity and Western society are so linked to one another that to remove the values of Christianity from Western society would mean total and complete destruction of that society.

Over the years, we’ve seen more exclusion of Christian values in the Western culture which correlates to the erosion of personal freedom and positive mental health and a dramatic increase in violence and disdain of religion.

The West is dying. To save it, we must return to this country’s roots that were set on the pillars of Christianity — hence the reason for this “cultural Christian” movement among nonbelievers and atheists for they are starting to realize the true value of Christianity in Western society.

The Rise of cultural Christianity: Why religion is thriving in the non-believing age

One of the most important things for Americans to be reminded of is that a lot of the exceptional nature of our country is founded in Judeo-Christian values that promotes individualism, personal responsibility, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to family, charity. — Jim DeMint

  1. Is the use of AI linked to this issue? For example, instant answers skewed by culture and spewed by computer may ‘sound’ right, but likely contain only a kernel of Truth. Darkness masquerading as light appears as a solution, but only misleads toward more of the same. Unfortunately, both movements promise unintended consequences.
