Home Is Not Here

We may have been born into this world, but it is not our final home.

Amen?

Knowing what lies ahead is what gives me the strength to continue on even in the midst of darkness and despair.

For our true home is the city of LIGHT.

Here there will be no pain or grief.

No sickness or disability.

In this world we may feel lonely – but we are never truly ALONE.

We have a Father and a Savior as well as a multitude of spiritual brothers and sisters whom we will one day meet.

So, yes I may be feeling frustrated and isolated – but knowing what I know as a believer, these feelings are only temporary as this earthly home I’m currently dwelling in.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

John 14: 1-3
