His Creation, His Presence
Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God”
Whenever I read or hear this verse, especially during the spring and summer months, I can’t help but think of being out in nature, taking in all the sounds and smells of His creation.
Peace. Tranquility.
It’s a sense of comfort I feel that I don’t get when in a bustling city.
Psalm 62:1 — “Truly my soul finds rest in God”
Being out in nature, I can’t help but sense His Presence. His design interwoven through all living things. His handiwork, the beauty of it all — it’s all Him.
I can’t help but imagine how wonderful this world was in the beginning. Before the Fall. The more I learn about Him, the more I long for the future to come!
Life in this fallen world is hard. But thank God, we have a future to look forward to, and it’s this hope that helps us persevere and cling onto His promises all the more.
PRAYER
Almighty God,
You shaped the mountains,
carved the valleys,
and breathed life into every living thing.
Thank You for the colors, the scents, the songs of creation.
Thank You for the promise of a future where
the lion will lie with the lamb,
and the earth will be filled with Your glory.Amen.
