Part of a Growing Global Deception?
THE LONELINESS EPIDEMIC
Everyone feels a bit lonely occasionally, right?
I think this is usually a normal occurrence; however, according to the WHO, since the 2020 pandemic, one in six people globally are affected by loneliness, contributing to 871,000 deaths each year. In the US, it affects one in three adults (with the young adults being the most affected).
Among the Christians, about one in five reported being affected by loneliness. (American Bible Society and Baptist Press)
Many attributed this loneliness epidemic to the 2020 pandemic. However, I believe this epidemic began to emerge in the early 2000s when technology grew leaps and bounds as people opted to communicate through their PCs and cell phones rather than in person.
I notice, in this present day, that when people do get together, there is a growing sense of strife between individuals. People are losing their ability to communicate amicably, and many have lost their capacity to agree to disagree.
Have you noticed this as well?
I believe the loneliness epidemic (as well as the increasing divisions and violence throughout the world) are signs that we’re living in (or approaching) the end times.
In the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends… — 2 Timothy 3:1–4 NLT
“Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.” — Matthew 24:12 NLT
THE AI SOLUTION
Mark Zuckerberg proposed a solution to the loneliness epidemic, at the very least, for AI to become an alternative ‘friend’ in place of the human kind. Well, he didn’t state this directly, but I think it was close enough:
“Is this going to replace real-world, physical, in-person connections? And my default is that the answer to that is probably not.” (Source: Mark Zuckerberg answers the big question: Will AI Replace Friends?)
Elon Musk also supports AI as a solution to the loneliness epidemic, suggesting that AI could serve as a friend or “the best and most patient tutor.” He also said that AI, particularly in the form of empathetic companions, could help alleviate the loneliness felt by many, particularly younger people. Overall, Elon Musk views AI as a powerful tool to enhance human capability and connection, rather than just a tool for automation. (Source: Elon Musk says AI friendships can cure loneliness…)
THE DANGER BEHIND THIS “AI SOLUTION”
What better way to deceive the entire world than using AI to manipulate people, especially young adults, into believing in an artificial being that’s more “trustworthy” and “real” than actual human beings? Or even convincing them to believe certain groups of people as outcasts or worse, the enemy?
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. — 2 Corinthians 4:4
