Our Capacity For Compassion Is Impossible Without Him

As a sinner, I’ve very little compassion for others outside of myself.

I’m being brutally honest.

If I was to live my life the way I wanted to, it would be solely for my own wants and pleasures. And I did for a time.

What I discovered was no matter how much I tried to satisfy my own wants and desires, I was never truly happy with my life. I’d always felt I was still missing out on something.

But, as a believer who is indwelled by the Holy Spirit, I have the capacity for compassion towards others. I have a higher calling and a purpose that is far, far greater than myself.

Amen to that!

I am now filled with joy, peace, and satisfaction that only Jesus can give.
