I’m noticing a growing number of churches (as well as Christians) adopting a more universalistic form of religious practice.
What is Christian universalism? Basically, it’s a theological belief that all people will be saved and restored to a right relationship with God.
Through the goodness, mercy, and love of God, all people will be saved; that is, all people will be forgiven their sins and granted eternal life. (Source: Universal Salvation to Universalism)
The core aspect of Christian universalism centers on the love of God for mankind. Where traditional Christians are labeled as “intolerant” and “exclusive,” the universalist is accepting and inclusive of everyone which for them, embodies the very essence of God’s love.

The Universalistic theology is part of the broader form of Universalism that believes all religions worship the same God — the differences lie in the diverse ways people worship God (Catholics and Muslims for example) as well as the varying ideas of what makes up the nature of God (Christians and Jews for example).
This religious movement could potentially become the one-world religion that would be aligned with the (future) one-world government and economy under one leader. This would be an attempt to unify all mankind under one governing and religious system.

One global religion, one global government, and one global economy to connect all of mankind.
How would all this be possible with the extensive divisions among people and nations? What could cause all to willingly give up their freedom and individuality or their sovereignty and wealth to be governed by a single entity?
As the same God is shared by every Christian universalistic religion, if this global system can meet the universal needs of all people (such as stability, shelter, food, and safety), then the system would gain their allegiance.
Universalism. One mankind. One school of thought. One religion. One global governing system. To be ruled by one man.
The Antichrist.

Because I teach story structure, I’m an avid reader of both secular and Christian fiction. Amazon offers many books on the topic of a universal religion. In contrast to non-fiction, storytelling has a way of piercing into the core of someone’s beliefs. As a fictional example, J. A. Webb’s book Fragments describes what can happen in the future where a dystopian society adopts a one world theology. Scary! That’s the point. Christian fiction has a way of grabbing the hearts of the lost and lukewarm. Likewise, your posts showcase the issue, creating a well-founded sense of urgency. Thank you, Anna!
