“I am the LIght of the world.” — John 8:12
Everywhere you look, you see darkness.
Wars and rumors of wars. People harming other people. Friends and families are being ripped apart by abuse, discord, and resentment.
You can’t help but have these feelings of dread and hopelessness pressing upon you, wiping away any happiness and joy you once had.
People are looking for a light to break through this darkness — to shine on them as a beacon of hope, of purpose, to show them what’s truly going on in the world.
Jesus is this light, the hope we’re all so desperately searching for.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it. — John 1:5
Lord Jesus,
I need You, Jesus. Fill me with Your hope. Let Your light shine brightly through this darkness in my life!
