As Christians, we’re living in a world where darkness is rapidly growing – along with man’s depravity. There are wars and rumors of wars in nearly every corner. And as Christians, we’re at the forefront of a raging spiritual war where we’re being attacked from every direction.
It’s not hard to feel the pangs of defeat. But as children of God and servants of our Lord and King Jesus Christ, we’re on the winning side. The enemy has already been defeated when Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. Jesus has overcome the darkness of the world.
Instead of allowing the emotion of defeat to fill us, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to fill us with comfort, strength and hope. We are still here for a reason – to be the light to those lost in the darkness. We are their only beacon – their only light to show the way to Jesus.
Stand tall. Stand firm. Let your light shine brightly!
