Remember when you were a kid when all you wanted to do was grow up fast so you could do all the things you weren’t allowed to do?
Yep, me too.
Now, as an adult, there are times when I long to be a kid again when things are simpler and when I didn’t have all the responsibilities and worries weighing on me.
Sounds familiar?
Yep, same here.
Maturity can be a two-edged sword.
It’s similar to our maturation as Christians in that through life-lessons, challenges, and suffering we mature to become more like Jesus.
Growing up can be so hard! But as a child of God, in the end, it will be worth every bit of it!
“…we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,” – Ephesian 4:13-15

We’re no longer to be children and yet we keep our child-like faith. A wonderful dichotomy.
