Winter Edition Vol 1 Issue 3

It’s a new year and I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but feel that this will be a year unlike any we’ve seen up to this point.

As believers, though, this should not be distressing for us for we have Hope and the Peace that no matter what happens, we are in God’s family and destined for the glorious place called Heaven!

Let this sink in.

Being a child of God, you are never alone. You may feel lonely at times, but He will always be near no matter where you travel off to.

YOU HAVE PURPOSE

Because you’re a child of God, you were born here at this time for a purpose.

“Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Before you were even conceived, God knew everything about you. He already had specific skills and talents set aside meant only for you. He knew what you were capable of accomplishing before He created the world. He knew your name even!

You are special to Him!  And yes, your life has a purpose!

MESSED UP?

Is it possible to screw up so bad to lose your salvation?

Consider some of these passages:

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. – John 5:24

As a believer, we have been given eternal life – not a temporal one.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. – John 10:28-29

You can’t get much clearer than this!

Once you trust in Jesus alone to save you, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within sealing you forever as a child of God and destined for Heaven.

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. – Ephesians 1:13-14

So, once a believer and child of God, you will always be a part of His family.

COME BACK TO ME

Even if you’ve strayed far, far from Him – He is still there! He hasn’t given up on you!
