Since the inaugural edition, it seemed as if the world has flipped – and not for the better.
Wars, chaos, turmoil.
Now more than ever, we – as believers – must pray for one another. Love one another. Comfort those in pain. Care for the needy. Now more than ever, this world needs the Light.

PRAY FOR GOD”S CHOSEN PEOPLE

Believers, as children of God, we must keep Israel in our thoughts and prayers. And not just Israel, but pray also for all who are directly or indirectly involved. Evil, the coldness of people’s hearts, and the spirit of the anti-Christ are all around us (and rapidly growing worse).
As believers, we must continue to stand with Israel.
“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” — Genesis 12:3
Hear our prayer, Oh Lord.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” — Psalm 122:6–7
WHY DOES GOD ALLOW EVIL & SUFFERING?
(I wrote this article for the This Broken Clay blog – will post an excerpt here)
This was originally written in response to what I saw in the early stages of the war in Ukraine. This could very well be applied to what occurred in Israel on October 7th.
WHERE DID EVIL COME FROM?
When God created the universe, evil was not a part of that creation.
When God created the angels, again evil was not a part of that creation.
When God created the world, like all the other creations, evil was not a part of them.
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. – Genesis 1:31 (ESV)
Lucifer, the highest ranking among the angels and the most beautiful, desired to be first in everything. So, when he learned that God and the Son went ahead to decide, without consulting him, to create man in God’s image, he rebelled.
Through Lucifer’s rebellion and the eventual expulsion of him and a third of all angels from heaven, sin was introduced into the universe. (Source: Ministry Magazine)
When Lucifer, now known as Satan, tempted Eve to disobey God who then convinced Adam to disobey, sin was introduced to the world.
“The origin of evil lies not with God but with humanity. When God created human beings He gave them a choice to obey or disobey. When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God they brought evil into the universe. Evil is an action or relationship, not a created substance.” (Did God Create Evil? by Don Stewart)

THE WORLD HATES CHRISTIANS

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” – John 15:18,19 (ESV)
As followers of Jesus Christ, the world hates us because we dare to believe in the Truth which exposes all the lies and deception of Satan and man’s sinful nature.
The world hates us because of Jesus. They choose to believe in the lies rather than in the Truth. They choose eternal death over eternal life. They would rather live in darkness than in the light. This is the spirit of the anti-Christ at work in our world. This is spiritual warfare – the battle for our souls.
Which side are you on?
