Doubt. The actual meaning behind this word is “a feeling of uncertainty.” (Source: Oxford Dictionary)
Let’s be honest. Since the start of 2020, we’ve been living in a constant state of uncertainty. Right?
Ever since then, nothing seems or feels normal. Everything has been turned upside down.
For me, this has left me feeling quite unsettled. As a person who’s been struggling with anxiety, this has not helped in the least bit.
If I wasn’t a Christian, I think I might have gone off the deep end by now. But, I am a Christian, and thank God for that!
I may not know what each day will bring, but He does. I may not know what the future looks like, but He does.
What I do know is that He takes care of His own. He takes care of our every need.
Though we may not know what tomorrow will bring us – here; but, we do know, as believers is that we have an eternal future with Him. As long as I keep reminding myself of this, I’m able to handle what this life has in store.
I don’t know about tomorrow,
I just live from day to day.
I don’t borrow from its sunshine,
For its skies may turn to gray.
I don’t worry o’er the future,
For I know what Jesus said,
And today I’ll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.
Many things about tomorrow,
I don’t seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow,
And I know who holds my hand.
