The path of my life
Has been anything but
Straight
I’m a child who likes to
Wander
Like a cat, curiosity
Usually gets me into
Trouble
And like a child, I tend
To do things
My way
Each time when I beg
For help, counsel
In knowing that I’ve
Lost my way – again
You
Grant it every time
I pray
Oh, heavenly Father
For strength, wisdom
Through Your Holy Spirit
To stay my wandering feet
and shed my childish ways
For a straight path
I now seek
No longer
The nomad
For my home lies with
You

FMF – Five Minute Friday
“The main feature of Five Minute Friday is our weekly blog link-up. Each week I provide a one-word prompt, and we all set our timers and write for five minutes flat, then post our writing on our respective blogs and link up our offerings on that week’s Five Minute Friday post. Click here to learn more about how the link-up works.” – Kate Motaung

Beautiful poem of surrender! We stop wandering when we come home to God! Your FMF neighbor!
